As explained by the administrator and manager of the company, Josep Bosch, the choice of country is not by chance, is that Chile, as well as being a country with political stability and good economic prospects in the short and medium term, "is home to large Spanish construction with working in Spain, such as FCC, Dragados, Ferovial-Agroman, COMSA, OHL, Acciona, Sacyr, Copcisa, Constructora San Jose, etc., which opens up more chances to win contracts, because they know us. According to how is the performance of the Chilean market and when the company is consolidated in the country, other countries in South America that could be inetrés of Estrucad, such as Colombia and Peru.
But the Chilean subsidiary is not the first foray of the company in Latin America. The company has acted as a supplier participating in the consortium Panama Steel Group, which is running a work emblematic of the new skyline of Panama City, Balboa Blue Spa. Also, the company expects to participate in the underground works hand in hand with the builder FCC. Estrucad is also considering the installation of a sales subsidiary in Central America.
PRODUCTION
The company has a production capacity of 400 tons per month, but thanks to the support of partner companies that figure may increase to about 1,000 tons. Until last year, 100% went to the Spanish domestic market, but given the current situation in the country, Bosch wants to encourage foreign markets, which in the short term could reach 60%. "The future in the medium term is not Spain and need to open new markets," he says.
But the expansion of Estrucad not only considers Latin America. The company is also working on the African continent, where he is currently building a convention center in Nigeria. Also, the company, which recently was awarded by the European Steel Design Awards, 2011, seeks to open European market.
